Okay, so I haven't posted in ages, and this may not be the best time to post as I am somewhat intoxicaticated (point proven). However, I wanted to update some stuff. I took off the weight loss and wedding ticker things, not because I have stopped with the weight loss goals (if anything, they're more focused) or because anything has happened between Jaime and I, but the wedding has likely been moved - money reasons again.
I went out today and bought some more essential oils - I would like to go through my "Wicca - a year and a day" book this year, although there is some stuff in the book I am unsure about (some of the Beltane rituals are not really designed for a solitary lesbian witch). I'm going to start going through them and improvising materials where need be (I cannot afford all of the materials reccommended by the book). I do now have peppermint, lavender, bergamot, frankincense, rose and sage oils, but I am lacking in my candle supply. Oh well - building my collection slowly.
Anyhow, babbling, I think it's the Alise that I'm drinking, so I'm going to sign off.

Dont worry if you have to compromise when it comes to materials. Spend what money you can on the things that you will use all the time (ie your tools). As for the rest, look around and see what you can find.
As for Beltane, I cant quite remember what is in the "year and a day" but it is possible to have solitary betane rituals, as well as 'female only' rituals. The holiday celebrates fertility, so yes, both the male and female aspects are important. However, remember that each person has both male and female energies, regardless of gender. It would actually be very educational for a female to invoke the Lord or a male, the Lady, as it is often much more difficult to get in contact with the energy opposite to your own gender.
If you cant find anything that you like, let me know closer to Beltane and I will see what I can pull up for you. I am happy that you are able to put more energy into your Wiccan studies; I wish I had more time myself but I will get the chance once I am through school.
Blessings.
