Life as I know it....is....different....

So it's been a long time since I've written anything, and a LOT has happened. I'm no longer at the same crappy job, I'm at another crappy job now. Another call centre, this one is inbound - no more telemarketing for me, this time I'm customer service. I'm actually quitting at the end of this week though, I'm taking some time to pack before the big move (Jaime and I have an apartment for September 1st).

Jaime had her knee surgery and it went well - she won't be able to do much for the move, 'cause heavy lifting is out of the question, but my Dad is paying for movers, so as far as the actual move goes, we should be good to go. We're both getting OSAP in the fall, so we can actually afford the apartment, which is a really cute little one bedroom on the second floor of a decent building. It has a galley kitchen and a balcony, with a separate living and dining area. It's also got a storage unit built in and its own water heater (sounds stupid, but Jaime's old apartment didn't have a water heater of it's own, so if someone in another apartment decided to take a shower at the same time as you, it was a real bitch controlling the temperature). I absolutely LOVE this place, it's so cute - and a good location - we have Chapter's, the LCBO, Red Lobster, Swiss Chalet and Shopper's Drug Mart all withing walking distance. Plus it's on the bus route for Jaime's college and not too far for me to drive to school.

My really big news is that I'm getting married - we're thinking September 2007. I proposed to Jaime while sitting by a campfire at a provincial park. Being the cheap bastard that I am, I proposed without a ring - so we're going together to pick out rings in a few weeks. I'm so excited....

I think I'm going to wrap this up for now....there's lots more to say, but I've been sick for the last week ad I'm tired and I just want to relax for now - I'll try to update more frequently.
