Sleepless

So it's 4:50 am, and I'm awake, because it's too hot to sleep. I tried sleeping on the couch last night, stretched out in front of a fan with the patio doors open, but very little luck. Didn't help that the cats kept stepping on me. Ruby, our newest addition, likes to lay on my chest, but she has really long fur that gets up my nose & makes me sneeze, and besides, it's too hot for that; and Smitty likes to walk on my ribcage, right where it hurts. So the little darlings can present a bit of a challenge. It sucks that I couldn't sleep, 'cause I'm really going to need it - my program at school is holding a bake sale/yard sale fundraiser on Saturday at 6am, and I have to go pick up one of my classmates who lives 45 minutes away before the sale even starts. Yay. Plus I have a whole sh*tload of baking to get done before that, starting tonight. And it's not like this is all I have to get done - my first summer university course ends next week, so our major paper is due Monday, and our exam is Wednesday, plus I have a group presentation this morning at 10, and we have a write-up to get done for that for next week, plus I have a test tomorrow, plus I have my first practical counselling session tomorrow and a write-up to do for it for next week, plus I have a paper due for Ethics next Wednesday, plus I have an assignment due tomorrow for Interventions, plus...you get the picture. So on second thought, maybe it's good that I can't sleep, 'cause I don't really have time...then again, I can't work when I'm this tired. Maybe I'll try sleeping again in a bit when the cats settle down for their early morning nap - as long as I'm up by 8:30 I can still be on time for my presentation - otherwise they'll just be wondering who the one with the huge dark eye circles is. Sorry, had to vent...I'm just so damned stressed. The good news is, Jaime is coming home for the weekend, so I don't have to drive out there too, that would just be too much. Anyhow, I'm off to go sit on the balcony in my pjs, it might be cooler there.
